Before, Fluffed & Beyond the Fluff
LIVING ROOM
Everything in this room has either been put in a more appropriate area of the home, reorganized, or reupholstered, and a beautiful sofa was added. See if you can locate each piece in the new room and throughout the home.
BEFORE: This room is full of good furniture, beautiful collectibles and paintings, and other meaningful items. But, where is it all?
FLUFFED:
BEYOND THE FLUFF: Everything was already in the house, with the exception of the new sofa and a few accessories!
DINING ROOM
The
homeowner allowed me to sort and reorganize the clutter in this dining
room to its proper spaces and into storage bins. The room feels
lighter and fresher with only a few minor changes -- you simply need a
pair of fresh eyes!
BEFORE: This room also has too much stuff.
FLUFFED:
Can you spot the changes (and interchanges) in the room? Can you find
a piece new and more suited to this room that was previously in the
living room?
FAMILY ROOM
This
room appeared very dark and was being weighed down by all the
furniture. Initially it was decluttered and rearranged to accommodate
a better traffic flow. Ultimately the room has been updated with new
paint and new pieces of furniture.
BEFORE:
This is a truly lived in family room, cozy and full of the kids'
artwork and memorabilia. It does, however, need some updating since
the kids have grown up.
FLUFFED:
The room now is more conducive to both conversation with friends and
family, as well as TV watching, and has a better traffic flow.
BEYOND
THE FLUFF: If you want to go beyond a fluff, this room is an example
of a total update. The prior furniture has found a good home and the
homeowner just went for it -- and was a full participant in furniture
choices. The furniture fits the space, yet there are options for more.
KITCHEN
The kitchen was
decluttered and painted to coordinate with the adjoining family room.
Now the dogs are fighting over who gets to cook dinner!
